The Society’s photographic archive documents life in St. Helena and the upper Napa Valley from the 1860s through the present. The collection includes portraits, streetscapes, agricultural scenes, civic events, and family photographs donated by generations of residents.

Research Requests

Looking for a specific image or subject? We’re happy to help. Contact us with as much detail as possible — a name, date, location, or subject — and our volunteers will search the collection on your behalf.

A browsable online archive is in development. In the meantime, visit the Heritage Center or reach out by email.
