Volunteer Spotlights

Kim Farmer, Membership

Founding member of SHHS, more than 20 years ago. Was a founding board member; has served as treasurer, newsletter editor, membership and collections volunteer. Currently in charge of Membership. Also on the board of League of Women Voters of Napa County and Silverado Handweavers and Spinners. Enjoys weaving, knitting and spending time with her family.

Marilyn Coy, Collections

Came to St. Helena from Burlingame, CA in 1975 to teach home economics at St. Helena High School. Married Nick in 1976. Taught sewing, foods, child development, family living and history until 2006. Loves collecting old things, developing inventory of the Society's picture collection, and figuring out the when, where and who of old photographs. Also works part-time at the public library.
