Welcome to sthelenahistory.org (the “Site”), operated by the St. Helena Historical Society (“SHHS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Use of the Site
You may browse the Site and use its content for personal, educational, and non-commercial research purposes. You agree not to:

Unless otherwise noted, the text, photographs, archival images, and other materials on the Site are owned by the St. Helena Historical Society or used with permission, and are protected by copyright. The Society’s historic photograph collection and archives are made available for reference and research; they may not be copied, published, or used commercially without prior written permission.
Image Reproductions and Research
High-resolution reproductions of images from our collection are available for purchase and require a signed image reproduction agreement. Fees vary by intended use. Reproductions are licensed only for the specific use requested and must be credited to the St. Helena Historical Society. To request images or research assistance, visit our Photo Archive page or contact us.
User Submissions
If you submit comments, inquiries, or materials (including photographs or documents offered for donation), you represent that you have the right to do so, and you grant SHHS permission to use that material in connection with its mission to preserve and share the history of St. Helena. Please do not submit confidential information that you do not wish us to use.
Donations and Memberships
Donations and membership payments are processed through our third-party provider, Zeffy. The St. Helena Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Federal Tax ID 30-0087096); contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

The Site may link to or embed content from third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties.
Disclaimer

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Napa County, California.
